A.G. Richardson Elementary School

For a few days earlier this month, a portion of the 3rd-5th Grade playground area was roped off due to a large swarm of bees.  Eventually, it was discovered that a nearby bees nest had a queen bee go missing.  The confused and disoriented bees flew around the nest, still containing pheromones, until the nest could be safely relocated.  The beekeeper estimates that nearly 50,000 bees were in the nest!  Watch this video to see the next being taken down.
