Miss Epstein's Kindergarteners did a fun science experiment with Mrs. Standley (AGR retired math specialist)! We made elephant toothpaste that went along with a story.

Here is today's robo call. Please note the book fair is this week, and STEM night on Sept. 25!

Lots of amazing teamwork happening in Ms. Ciccarone's 3rd grade class!

Mrs. McFarland’s 3rd grade students posed for a place value picture while they were rolling 5 digit numbers using place value dice. They practiced writing numbers in standard form and comparing the numbers. They also ordered numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least! They can show their parents how to do this on back to school night!

Miss Epstein's kindergarteners celebrated Jersey Day and Fun Friday today!

Students in 5th grade used 2 or more substances to create a mixture and were still able to separate them out due to the fact that the substances still kept their original properties (Berger and Sheads classes pictured)

There are lots of new staff at AGR this year! Please learn a little bit about them here:

Students in Miss Simpson's 4th Grade class are seen here working on Virginia maps as a cumulative project identifying regions, major waterways, as well as each region's top products and industries.

Ms. C's 3rd graders are working in teams with place value. We are place value champs and we can represent numbers 2 different ways into the hundreds.

When nature finds its way into your class during science, you stop and talk about it.

Mr. Hallett's fifth graders reviewed with blooket for their math test tomorrow - they are ready!

Pictured here, Mrs. Sink's 3rd Graders practiced some partner reading!

Mrs. Childress’s 1st Grade class worked on paired reading! Students teamed up with a partner to search for all of the “short a” sounds in their story. After finding them, they took turns reading to each other and practicing their fluency.

We're 1 month away! The annual AGR STEM Night will take place on Thursday, September 25th from 5:00-6:30. Join us for some amazing activites - including but not limited to: our planetarium, Keva planks, Legos, penny floats, ESports, and a ride on our CCPS electric bus! Stay for the entire event, or come and go as you please - but be sure to be prepared to have fun!
