2nd Grade student across all elementary schools were visited by ITRTs to learn coding over the past two days. BeeBots were used to code to place values. In these pictures, Mrs. Robson's students showed their mastery and amazing collaboration. Great job!
Just a reminder - tomorrow night is Back to School Night from 5:30-6:30! While here, please be sure to set aside time to shop at our Book Fair in the library, which ends on Friday. See you there!
Students in Mrs. McFarland's 1st Grade class played rounds of toss the chips to create addition number sentences. Some quotes: "all of them are 6", "we already did that one", we got 3 reds and 3 whites", "I got 4 and 4 and Layla got 4 and 4", & "there are no white". Great job!
After counting 414 beans by tens and ones and practicing 10 or 100 more/less, students in Ms. Jenkins 2nd grade class played a STEM game that included counting, weight, strategy, and a whole lot of fun!
Our book fair continues through Friday! Thanks to all of our parent volunteers who have helped to set it up and keep it running.
Don't forget, Back to School night will also be an opportunity to shop. Please stop by the library to browse on the way to/from your child's teacher.

AGR 3rd Graders in Ms. Ciccarone's and Ms. C's classes celebrated International Dot Day by hearing the story, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. Then, they worked in teams to create an original structure using DOT candy. Hustle and Heart Set Us Apart!

AGR 4th Graders in Mrs. Birch's class began work today on designing a prototype for an Egg Drop. This is to go along with the book "Restart," which Mr. Hallett's class is also reading. The class finalists will have their prototypes dropped from the CCPS bucket truck on Nov. 21st.
AGR 5th Graders in Mr. Berger's class wrapped up their Matter unit with a breakout! Both teams were successful thwarting the Matter Hatter! Teams exhibited CCPS Profile of a Graduate skills for the activity, resulting in almost 7 minutes to spare. Hustle and Heart Set Us Apart!
AGR SRO Deputy Ryan Carter visited Mrs. Shurina's 3rd graders this morning to discuss rules and laws to go along with their Social Studies unit. Each 3rd Grade class will have him as a visitor this week to learn the importance of rules. Hustle and Heart Set Us Apart!
AGR kindergarteners-5th Grade Student Spotlights for August visited The Culpeper to celebrate their recognition in our 4-99 Club. Third Grader Sage Morand graciously and thoughtfully brought airplanes to share with the residents - who ended up being Air Force veterans!
