Prodigy weekend update!
Students can earn a frozen treat if they meet the goal set for each grade level (see below). The student with the most questions per grade level will win a mystery prize! They're pretty good prizes!
In order to earn a frozen treat students in each grade must do the following:
1st grade needs to answer 100 questions,
2nd grade 150 questions
3rd grade 200 questions
4th grade 250 questions
5th 300 questions.
School Lunch Hero Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in May—this year, that day was today, May 1—to honor school nutrition professionals who prepare healthy meals, manage allergies, and serve students with care. Created by author Jarrett Krosoczka, it recognizes the dedication of cafeteria staff, cooks, and staff. We love our AGR School Lunch Heroes!

Last week, Mrs. McFarland's 3rd Graders hatched Praying Mantis babies with the help from Joanna Kilby from our local 4H. Thank you Mrs. Kilby for coming to teach us about this very interesting life cycle!

From October to March, AGR’s first grade students participated in the Book It Challenge, reading an additional 200 minutes each month. Today, our first grade Book It winners celebrated their hard work with a pizza party and an Amazing Reader medal. Way to go, readers!

Students got to enjoy prepping for the Reading SOL at the outdoor classroom today as a reward for putting in AWESOME effort on their IRW SOL on Tuesday!
