Reading night has begun! From book tastings, to book giveaways, to musical chairs and bookmark making, this event is fun for all! This RSVP only event continues through 6:30.

Librarian Mrs. Anderson, in celebration of Read Across America, started a sweet 16 Book Madness, which will continue through the month. Student in grades K-5 voted on their favorite books! Round 2 (of 4) starts later this week.

AGR murals in the cafeteria are almost complete - @ccpsEVHS students finished one yesterday and started the next. Both will be "unveiled" at an upcoming family night - possibly the Mar. 16 event - along with the Buddy Benches built by Roque Castro, an SCA project from last year.
BAM Club members spent yesterday reviewing, discussing, & practicing what they learned about bullying. For the activity, students had to "take back" the salt, pepper, and sugar and return them to their bags. It was a metaphor that it is difficult to take back things we say.
AGR students in all grades spent 15 minutes yesterday for DEAR (Dropping Everything And Read), among other activities for Read Across America week. Here, 5th Grade students in Mr. Hallett's class took advantage of nice weather and read outside. Great job Bulldogs!
Mrs. Aylor's 2nd graders had "tons" of fun practicing their weighing skills. Great job Bulldogs!
Students in Mrs. Days 5th grade class made circuits, and tested different materials to see if they were insulators or conductors. Great work bulldogs!
AGR P.E. teacher Mr. Downs recognized the following students for being the Students of the Month in phys. ed for the month of February. Great job Bulldogs!
Grades K-5 AGR Student Spotlights of the Month for the month of January (our school counselor Mrs. Morrison's program) visited the Culpeper Senior Center to build Legos, and relationships, with Culpeper's senior residents. Each month, students visit here and at the Culpeper.
AGR wants to give a huge shoutout to @ccpsEVHS students Lily May and Makaia Bliss, as well as EVHS alumni Matthew Fossen, for their work to beautify AGR with the cafeteria mural. Here are some pictures (in progress) - the final product will be posted when complete.
Family Fitness night is Thurs, March 16th & open to all AGR students and families. It will take place in the Gym/Cafeteria from 5:30pm-7:30pm. This is not a drop off event, students must be accompanied by a family member, and there is no need to RSVP as this is a walk-in event.
